The 5G, the next big step

The imminent arrival of 5G will make video essential, and in doing so, will make marketing more relevant and more targeted.

Watching a video is a daily habit for many of us. A study recently announced that two-thirds (66%) of European consumers watch videos at least once a day.  The same study revealed also show that spending on video advertising in Europe increased by 64.6% in 2017. Mobile data was one of the factors contributing to this inexorable growth. They have enabled videos to no longer be limited to traditional TV, making them accessible at any time thanks to mobile devices capable of downloading and streaming video. The audience starts to watch video content on different terminals (TV, smartphones, tablets…) linearly and without difficulty, making this content even more attractive.

But even more important changes are coming. The 5G is the next big step in wireless data transmission, offering ultra-fast connectivity that can compete with fixed transmission speeds. Countries around the world are quick to modernize their telecommunications infrastructure.

At the same time, the number of connected Tvs in the world has increased by more than 58% in recent years, and their performances can even be improved thanks to 5G.
These important technological developments should be at the heart of the news, as the ability to design and measure video campaigns is on the verge of reaching new levels of sophistication.
Soon, the video will be truly everywhere.
